What is the correct application of WAC II? |
WAC II, unlike its predecessor WAC, is applied full strength at a rate of 400-500 square feet per gallon. WAC II can be used on aged Conklin acrylic and single-ply roofing systems to restore a "like-new" surface. It can also be used on aged rubber (EPDM) roofs prior to application of the Conklin-approved single-ply recoating system. WAC II is best applied using a portable sprayer or airless spray equipment with a .019 to .022 spray tip. Allow the cleaner to remain on roof surface for approximately 10-20 minutes, agitate with a stiff bristle broom or brush, then water rinse. Should cleaner start to dry out on the roof in hot weather, mist with water to keep it in a liquid state. However, it is important not to let the cleaner dry on the surface. Pressure wash surface before the cleaner dries on the surface. Heavily soiled areas may require additional cleaning and/or use of a floor broom or stiff bristle brush. Waste or rinse water may be harmful to fish and aquatic plants. Dispose of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. WAC II is available in 5-gallon pails and special order 55-gallon drums. Please Note: WAC II can etch glass and Plexiglas, keep these areas wet or avoid contact. |
